City of Bristol Choir is a mixed voice choir of around 80 auditioned adult singers, which sings a wide range of choral music in concerts in Bristol and around the South West.
The choir's size gives it flexibility to perform music in diverse styles, from intimate Renaissance polyphony and partsongs to large scale works with orchestra.
The choir was formed in 1991 by Malcolm Archer. The choir now enjoys a busy schedule of concerts and events under the direction of David Ogden, who was appointed Director of Music in 2000.
Next concert - Christmas Spectacular with Emerald Ensemble
An evening of sparkling carols and Christmas music for choir and orchestra, including audience carols. This is always a delightfully 'Christmassy' Christmas concert, including ever-popular John Rutter arrangements of carols and some traditional choral favourites.
