Founded in 1904, originally owned by Napier Miles, part of the Kingsweston Estate, the course was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1918. During the Second World War the course was reduced to 9 holes, the remainder being used as an Army Camp for United States troops. One hole is called “America” to this day. In June 1952, 18 holes were once again in play and the scars of war have disappeared. Famous for its connection with Sea and Ships over the years, the course was used by officers and crews from ships docked at Avonmouth.Want casual golf? - Just £10 per round after 2pm - No need to book, just turn up and play
